Open the AKURA app on your watch. It shows a 6-digit code. In the phone app, open the You tab, tap Watch & apps, then Pair with code. Type the code and tap Link watch. The code works for 10 minutes. Once linked, your runs from the watch show up in AKURA.

Codes last 10 minutes and work only once. Open AKURA on your watch to get a fresh code, then type it straight away. Check that every digit matches the watch screen. After several wrong tries you may have to wait 10 minutes before trying again. If it still fails, email contact@akura.in and tell us which watch you have.
AKURA has its own watch app for Garmin watches; get it from akura.in/download. Suunto and COROS watches connect from Connected apps in the Android app. A watch that saves runs to Health Connect on Android, or to Apple Health on iPhone, can share them that way. You can also add a run file with Import a run.

In the Android app, open More, then Connected apps, and find the AKURA watch app section. Tap Unlink on the watch you want to remove and confirm. You can pair it again any time with a new code. Do this if you sell or lose a watch. Unlinking from the iPhone app is not available yet; email contact@akura.in and we will help.
On iPhone, open More, then Connected apps, and find Apple Health. Allow access to your workouts when asked. AKURA then reads your runs when you open the app, at most once every 30 minutes. If something is missing, check that the Health app shows it first. You can change permissions in the Health app any time.

In the Android app, open More, then Connected apps, and choose Health Connect. Allow access when asked. Your watch's own app must save runs to Health Connect first, so check its settings. In the Android app, open More, then Connected apps, choose Suunto or COROS and sign in on their page. If a run is missing afterwards, open the Suunto or COROS app and make sure it shows there first. These two are not in the iPhone app yet.

Open AKURA and wait a moment; new runs are picked up when the app opens. Check that the run exists in the app it came from, such as your watch app. Check that source is still connected under More, then Connected apps. You can also add the run yourself with Import a run. Still missing? Email contact@akura.in with the run's date and time.

Your watch must first send the run to its own app. Then open AKURA and it looks for new runs. Imports from Health Connect and Apple Health are checked at most once every 30 minutes, so reopening straight away may not refresh them. Open your watch app, let it finish syncing, then open AKURA.

Personal bests come from the runs in your account. A paused watch or a GPS slip can make a time look too fast or too slow. Open the run in Activities and check its distance and time. If a run looks wrong, email contact@akura.in with its date and we will look at it.

There are four, and they answer different questions. The AISRI Index is your overall running capability. Readiness is how ready you are today. Fitness, Fatigue and Form show your training load over weeks. Today's decision is the call for today: build, ease or rest. They will not match each other, and that is normal.

The AISRI Index is a number from 0 to 100 for your overall running capability. It comes from your six-part self-test and your running, so it changes when you retake the test, not from day to day. It is not the same as Readiness, which is about today.

Readiness, from 0 to 100, shows how ready you are to train today. When a watch is connected (or, on Android, your phone), AKURA builds it from your sleep, resting heart rate and HRV, together with your recent training, so there is nothing to log each morning. It changes every day. A low number means ease off today, not that you are unfit. It is different from the AISRI Index.

They show your training load over weeks. Fitness builds slowly with steady training. Fatigue rises quickly after hard days and falls with rest. Form is Fitness minus Fatigue. They are not on a 0 to 100 scale, and they are different from the AISRI Index.

Rest days are part of the plan; recovery is training too. A rest day can also appear because of the training days chosen for your week. In the Android app you can review your days from the Plan tab with Edit days. If it still seems wrong, message your coach.

In the Android app, open the Plan tab and tap Preferences. Set your weekly mileage target and running level, then tap Save preferences. Your coach may also set these for you.

Step by step, not every week. AKURA starts from what you actually ran: the higher of your 4-week average and your 8-week normal, so one light week is not lost fitness. You hold a level about three weeks, then it adds roughly 1.6 km per run day in your week. No week may jump more than 30 percent above your 28-day average. Every fourth week is lighter. A low Readiness day is eased that day only. Your coach can change any week.

When a watch is connected (or, on Android, your phone), AKURA takes your sleep, resting heart rate and HRV from it, so there is nothing to do each morning. The check-in is optional: say how you slept and how you feel, or use it when nothing is connected. If you skip a question it is left out; AKURA never fills in a number for you. Soreness is for your own information and does not change Readiness.
Related: What is Readiness? · What does setting a status do?
A status (Rest, Unwell, Travelling or Injured) tells AKURA you are away from normal training. Your plan stays unchanged. Your coach sees the status and its dates only if you choose to share it, and never your note. A week with a status on at least 4 days keeps your streak. AKURA does not diagnose.
